Newthex continues collaboration with Damen: Supply of shell doors for ASWF project
Following a successful delivery for the Combat Support Ship (CSS) HNLMS Den Helder, Newthex has signed a new contract with Damen Naval. This time, the agreement covers the supply of various shell doors for the new Anti-Submarine Warfare Frigates (ASWF), which will replace the current M-frigates of both the Royal Netherlands Navy and the Belgian Navy.
“Our strength lies in combining reliability, innovation, and craftsmanship,” says Rik Bos, Commercial Manager at Newthex. “We are proud to contribute once again, as a Dutch company, to such a leading maritime project.”
This continuation of the partnership highlights the mutual trust and shared ambition to deliver high-quality, Dutch-engineered solutions for defence projects. As with the CSS project, Newthex will supply custom made doors that meet the strict requirements of modern naval vessels.
For the ASWF project, Newthex will once again be responsible for the complete process: from design and production, to onboard installation and integration of the doors, including the associated hydraulic and electrical systems.
With this contract, Newthex contributes to the national vision for sustainability and reinforces the strength of the Dutch maritime manufacturing industry. From its base in Kolham, Newthex continues to focus on innovation, reliability, and the delivery of high-quality products for both naval and superyacht sectors.
