Newthex has announced its participation in the upcoming Economic Mission to Spain, reinforcing its commitment to international growth within the maritime sector.
Organised by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency, the mission will take place from 19 to 21 May 2026 and brings together leading Dutch companies active in aviation, defence, and the maritime manufacturing industry. The initiative aims to strengthen economic ties between the Netherlands and Spain while creating new opportunities for collaboration and innovation.
During the mission, participants will engage in a high-level programme including networking events, company visits, and tailored matchmaking sessions with Spanish partners. The programme starts in Madrid with an official kick-off and trade dinner, followed by sector-specific activities in cities such as Vigo, where the maritime industry plays a central role.
For Newthex, the mission represents a strategic step in expanding its international footprint. As a specialist in high-quality maritime doors, hatches, and access solutions, the company aims to explore partnerships within Spain’s growing shipbuilding and maritime technology sectors.
Rik Bos, Commercial Manager at Newthex, will be on site to represent the company, engage with industry stakeholders, and explore new business opportunities throughout the mission.
Spain is considered a key market within Europe’s maritime ecosystem, with strong investments in sustainable shipbuilding and innovation. The mission offers Newthex direct access to industry stakeholders, potential clients, and collaborative opportunities in one of Europe’s most dynamic maritime regions. By joining this economic mission, Newthex positions itself at the forefront of international maritime development, aligning its expertise with emerging opportunities in Southern Europe.
