LAGOON – Technical Specification
Standard dimensions: Height 1000 mm. Opening width 800 mm.
Other dimensions and shaping according the yachts bulwark form on request. Weight of the door and frame: 120 kg in steel.
Door and frame can be manufactured out of shipbuilding steel Grade A, stainless steel 316L or seawater resistance aluminium 5083. The door is a welded construction out of plates and stiffeners. The bulwark door is fitted out with high quality Newthex Parts. Hinges and locks are of stainless steel 316L. When closed the door will be flush with the bulwark.
Sigmaweld is applied at steel and Sigmacover at aluminium. Stainless steel is pickled and passivated. The visible stainless steel parts are polished according ‘Mirror 8’. Galvanic corrosion protection is achieved by using TEF-Gel, Sika ex 291, Lexan insulation sheets and synthetic inserts wherever applicable.
The door is designed in Solid Works 3D software and strength calculations are carried out with Cosmos Works. The door, the frame and parts are fully assembled, adjusted and tested in the factory. The door will be delivered within the frame and ready for welding into the yachts bulwark.
